I have a love/hate relationship with Vancouver. It's a great city and there's so much to do. But I can't help feel out of place and low-class when I'm there. BC is just awesome … really everywhere you go. I miss it a ton. But … hey … Saskatoon has it's perks too! ;-)

Hey JB,

I'm not sure, I haven't actually upgraded to the “Job Seeker” account. But, that is a great question. After all, I had many people tell me that they would love to have the additional features, but they dont necessarily want to shout to the world that they are “job seeking”.

Trevor,
One question - when we sign up for a Premium Job Seeker Account, at the bottom of the application page there is a checkbox for whether we would notify our Connections that we have upgraded. Do you know how this notice reads? Does it simply state that we have upgraded to a Premium Account, or does it state a "Job Seeker" Premium account? (I've asked LI but have not recieved a reply as of yet).

Thanks for your comment. I agree…..its unfortunate that we always hear about the “bad” and “negative” impact of social media. But, its always refreshing when you come across an experience that shows the positive side of social media engagement.

These are great examples, Trevor! Thanks for sharing. I think it's great when bloggers highlight businesses that actually get it right. For some reason, blogs/media are so quick to point out businesses that flop with their social media efforts. I think it's great that you showed the contrast between how great it can be when it's done right versus how badly it can flop if managed poorly. Good stuff!

l travelled from Hamilton to Calgary, and on to Saskatoon on
Arriving in Saskatoon, l found my luggage was soaking wet and smelled like vinegar…………..l contacted a West Jet attendant, and we both opened the case to find that everything inside was soaking wet, and stinking of whatever, ‘vinegar, alcohol ??’ they told me to replace the case, and to get all the clothing dry cleaned, and to bring them the bills.
l did not have time to get my clothes dry cleaned, l spent all that evening washing and drying them at the Hotel………..(something you didnt have to pay for)l did go and purchase a new suitcase.
When l took the receipt to the counter the same lady said they would give me a credit of $200.00 to use on another flight. BUT nobody told me that l have to use this in 90 days ????
l am not happy with this, l feel that my trip was cut short for all the hassle l went through, which was no fault of mine, and now it looks like l will not get compensated, as l have no plans to fly anywhere………..Linda James
