Critical Mass Bike Ride 2010 – Vancouver, BC

For this weeks adventure, I joined the Critical Mass Bike Ride and, once again, recorded the whole experience to share it with the world! This time, I was joined by an old work colleague and friend who has also recently relocated to Vancouver, his creative gal and other friends from Saskatoon.

Celebrated around the world, Critical Mass is a grassroots reclamation of public space — on the last Friday of the month — which allows cyclists and other self-propelled people to move safely and comfortably through city streets in a car-free space.

Biking is another great way to enjoy Vancouver and I’ll be sure to explore more of the city and Stanley Park on a mountain bike in the months to come! If you are looking for a great place to rent a bike in Vancouver, make sure to check out http://www.englishbaybikerentals.com/ and make sure to check them out on Twitter as well!

Check out the video montage and let me know what you think!

Cool montage! I'm a newly acquired critical masser. Riding in groups is so much fun. Can't wait for the next one. ;)

A Critical Mass demonstration held on the streets of Porto Alegre in south-eastern Brazil came to a horrific stop when a 47-year-old man drove his car into the middle of a group of some 150 cyclists.
